Grit Writing

What is Grit

Grit is made out of two words: resilience and persistence. Persistence means to never give up and keep trying and trying until it is done. Resilience means if you get hurt and give up you achieve nothing and if you fall down just try again. Everyone uses Grit in there life. I used Grit when I went to air-zone the zip-line into the foam-pit I was thinking of what would happen to me so I stopped thinking and did it. This morning at math time I used a lot of Grit I did 15-25 hard math equations and did not get distracted.

Jumping Straight into the Action

I was looking down into the darkness trembling with fear. My friends encouraged me to go down that slide by saying “you can do it Jack”,”it is only 30 seconds Jack”. When I got in the slide everybody cheered “!!GO JACK GO!!”, “!!YEAH JACK GO DOWN THAT SLIDE!!”. The water was nice and warm and the slide smelt like chlorine and I felt extremely brave and wet. I pushed myself forward and slipped and slided through the slide I saw two coloured lights flashing on and off. When I was in the middle of counting to 30 “!!SPLASH!!” I was soaked in water that smells like chlorine “!!AAAAHHH!!” it got in my eyes. finally the slide had come to an end, the slide had no more slip or slide.

What I Learnt This Week

This week I learnt subtract by using place value. e.g. 61-25=? lets change it to an easier one 61-20=41
41-5=32 and that is pretty much subtracting using place value and if you wan't to posts of mine in your emails make sure you follow me on my blog goodbye.

What I Learnt This Week

I learnt how to use plan views. A plan view is when someone wants to build a house but they don't have isometric dot paper so they have to draw in 2D and the builders have to build it.there are 4 views : front view, left view, right view and top view. So yeah that is what I learnt this week.

Len Lye visit

Len Lye/Art gallery
Visit

Rooms 10 and eleven went to the len lye center/ art gallery last friday the outside of the gallery was a shiny stainless steel so that all the buildings in front and beside of the centre were all being reflected in a swirly motion.

When we got inside a man took room 10 first and i’m in room 10so room 10 went upstairs to look at this musical artwork called the universe. the universe sounded like an echo in emptiness a bong in the emptiness.

when we finished with the man we went with a woman that showed us the fountain the fountain is in the picture beside the text I thought was the coolest was the blue fountain it looked stars getting sucked in the fountain and pushed back out. we got to do paper worksheets on the universe that was upstairs and all the other art in the gallery. We got learn about Len Lye. we learnt Len Lye wasn’t born in new zealand.

Grassy Hills

In the art gallery there was all sorts of art but none quite like like this one. The grassy hills is a sway sort of motion for a statue the grassy hills is an interesting piece of art. It really makes you feel like you're on a grassy hill a very peaceful grassy hill. It is very calm and sway motion. Dont forget it is very shiny and it is made out of stainless steel.

Most Interesting Art

Like I said in one of the top paragraphs I liked the Blue fountain. Like I said in one of the top paragraphs: It looked like stars getting sucked in the fountain and then pushed back out.

LEN LYE CENTRE
The len lye centre was like 50 feet high on the inside and the outside. The swirly mirror coated walls on the outside reflected everything around it.

shade of the ninja

“If I could go back in time” I would go back to when the ninjas first went to japan so they can teach me how to be a ninja. They would teach me how to use the Nunchucks and other ninja weapons. I like Nunchucks because nunchucks can smash people.
